Been running around a lot lately…sorry if I have been a fuera de contacto for a while…
Currently, I am working in San Vicente (where the training center is, where I lived the first months of my time here) with the newest group of volunteers to arrive in the country. This weekend some “older” volunteers, specifically those on our HIV/AIDS awareness/prevention team, did a training workshop to teach our HIV/AIDS prevention activities to the new volunteers so they can have the opportunity to recreate the information in their own communities.

We are wrapping up as I write this on Monday afternoon and after lunch I am heading back to site to prepare for my own HIV/AIDS/sexual health workshop with my youth group on Thursday.Adrianne, my Kansas friend, is coming out to help me, so we will be chillin’ in my house for a few days.The following week is Thanksgiving fun Thursday, welcoming party for the new volunteers Friday, and “Carnival” a massive, well, carnival, in the Eastern part of the country that I am heading out to enjoy for the first time.
Perhaps, I will take a break this weekend and hit up the beach…it has been quite a while since I had the pleasure of laying on the hot sand watching sexy Australian surfers stroll by and drip salt water on me…mmmmmmmm
I digress…

I agree with your grandma…I still think we should have taken those surfers up on their offer to go with them to Nicaragua. Oh well, maybe when I come up in a few months.
