Halloween party in the school!
In celebration of Halloween, since I was stuck in my campo house, I decided to make the best of it and do a little cultural exchange with my students.
I made a poster with information about our Halloween traditions (aka: carving pumpkins, scarecrows, black cats, costumes, trick-or-treating, etc.)
Then we bobbed for apples…
Played a version of pin the tail on the donkey but with pumpkins…
And everyone got candy…
Then we decorated the orange balloons like pumpkins…
Happy Halloween to me!
In honor of Halloween I spent the weekend visiting a fellow volunteer (Adrianne). We watched scary movies, made caramel popcorn, and had a low-key few days to celebrate. Just what the doctor ordered to get me ready for a busy November!
Also, got some Happy Halloween wishes from home too…

Card #2: Old, ugly pumpkin card (and pressed leaves for a little bit of fall from home) from my friend Allison (caption reads "Jack was never the same after the operation")

Card #3: A sweet message from my friend Amy...nice to know this is the card my bestie meant when she said "I saw this and thought of you, Lindsey!"
